Random Digit Dialing

Noun. The practice of randomly dialing phone numbers and hoping against hope to get actual voters on the phone. Dumb. No one in the industry still uses it except crappy public pollster.

Herding

Noun. The practice of public pollster to ONLY release surveys that are around the public polling average. Sometimes this means killing off outlier surveys or other times they weight it back (by a lot) to make it match. This practice is a CYA maneuver from the pollster and is bad.
